Since the cost to come up with a used stock 440 throttle pressure linkage set is expensive, I'm opting to use Lokar's unit as well as the throttle cable. I found a great price on them but I'm wondering, will they need an additional bracket to anchor the cables at the carburetor? I'm considering using the Demond carburetor, which Lokar says you need an additional bracket, which pushes the price up to two hundred bucks for all three units. If I go with the Edelbrock carburetor, can I use the stock anchor bracket? Yeah, I'm trying to go cheap and buy good at the same time.

take a look at mancini racing for that stuff as well. most carbs will hook up fairly easy with a bit of tweeking.

Thanks for the tip, but the throttle pressure cable alone is one eighty-five plus a bracket at thirty dollars and the throttle cable is eighty-five. I can buy the two from Lokar at one eight-five plus a bracket depending on which carburetor I buy. Roughly fifty bucks difference between the two companies. The throttle cable Mancini sell does look stock over the Lokar.

Thanks Again.

My suggestion would be to do some shopping around. I was going to go Lokar because I thought they were the only game in town. Turns out they aren't and there are several companies making these systems.

Here's a Edelbrock 1407 with Lokar cables installed before I went to Holley and used the same bracket.

Auggie, Summit has carb brkt (#1702?) that adapts almost any carb to Mopar; you still the throttle linkage shaft that allows for throttle&kickdown linkage hookup.Believe Classic Ind. has them also.Stud @Classic is D124007, lever adapter #E1481.

Lokar makes black units. I just installed one on my Coronet.
