I have a set of 17x8 eagle alloys with 4.5" back spacing. I'm planning on running 235/45r17's up front and either 275/40r17 or 285/40r17 out back. My question is, I've been looking at the numbers and I think they'll work on a stock Coronet, am I correct in my thinking?

Also on a related topic, I have a pair of 15x8 steel wheels with 5" back spacing that I'd like to run a set of 275/60r15 drag radials eventually. Will they work? Again I'm just looking for conformation if my train of thought is right...

I have 4.5 back space with 275 60 r 15 on car with M+H racemaster on. it looks like you will have about 1 inch of clearance between leaf spring and tire. I took pic. ill see if I can post them. 5 inch might be a little close.

I ended up going on the safe side with the 17's and go 275/40r17's for the rear. I don't have a sure grip and I have highway gears, so I'm not wasting my money on the drag radials yet. But I did mount a set of junk 275/60r15's on the 15x8's and the do clear. I'm hoping to get the 17's tomorrow, but I need to get new lug nut's before I can mount them.

Really happy with the way it turned out.

I had 26-11.5-15 on my 67 which has the small wells, 5.5" of backspacing
