Posted a while back and no luck so trying again. Looking for a complete battery hold down assembly for a '77 Cordoba. First choice would be for the Thermo-Gard setup or secondly would be just a standard set up. If used is not available, does anyone know if an earlier B-body set up works? I would go the re-pop route if need be. Thanks for the look and help!

IF it's not a "factory correct" car, then I suggest you just measure how wide your battery is & pull one from a Chrysler in the junk yard. If the two "J-hooks" are the wrong length (likely), then you can buy some generic ones at most auto parts stores & then just cut them down to length. I've done that myself.

Heck, now that I think about it, it doesn't have to be from a Chrysler....just one that's wide enough for your battery type.

Thanks for the suggestion. However at this point I would like to stay stock. The car only has 11,400+ miles and is 99.9% original as it left the factory.

I see. Maybe search craiglist, ebay & your local salvage yards? I still see some Cordobas from time to time in yards. I "think" the main thing to watch for is how wide your battery is (e.g. what "series" the battery is). You could just measure it with a tape measure if you want....maybe check on vans/trucks.

Is yours broken/missing/rusted away to nothing?

Completely missing. I guess after 40 years and many battery changes someone said screw it, lol.
