Getting really close to being road ready. Electrical is all finished up. Engine cranks and has 65lbs of oil pressure cranking. We have spark and fuel. Just missing 1 key component, the exhaust! Been 4 weeks now waiting on TTI for headers and exhaust pipes. Supposedly it will be back from ceramic coating on the 25th. We will see. Fitted the AMD rear bumper yesterday, sort of. The bumper itself is not a bad piece. The bumper mounts leave alot to be desired.

The passenger side is fairly close after some tweeking.

The drivers side, not even close. I am going to have to remove the bracket and modify it to get the bumper to sit where it needs to be.

It is fine for now, I will wait for a not so busy weekend to drop it and do the modifications.

My rear bumper has fitment issues like yours.

Fingers crossed you get your exhaust this week.

Well I have been to busy to update, but we have good news. It's ALIVE! I runs, moves, and stops. Made the maden voyage tonight. A little off idle hesitation, but we'll sort that out. Other than that it goes down the road straight, tranny works good, breaks them loose going into second, with a chirp for third. Only 15 miles on it and I'm already driving it like a jackass. It's great!

Still need to paint the center section of the grill. Plan is to enjoy it this summer and finish the interior over the winter. I had to order side view mirrors tonight, it drove me crazy not having them. After driving my trucks with trailers, I can't be without them. Damn OCD.

Great looking Coronet. Congrats on getting it on the road.

Driving it like a Jackass only confirms that your a true Mopar guy hehe. Beautiful, turned out great.... job well done!

What a blessing to finally see you get to drive it.

Best of luck on finishing up.

BTW, many folks believe that a passenger side mirror doesn't offer much of a view. But it looks balanced. So, many people put them on anyway. I'm happy with one mirror. You get used to it.

I miss not having one every time I drive my '68 but usually only when I get to town.

well done mate, hats off to you for a top job. Now all your troubles disappear every time you start her!

Guess I haven't posted in a while. Just been enjoying driving the car. Had to sort out a few issues. Had to add a carb spacer to stop the fuel from boiling in the bowls. Seams to have worked. Need to figure out a slight bog off idle, not to bad, but noticeable to me. Thinking accelerator pump squirters or wrong power valve. Just finding time to tinker is hard. Maybe a trip to Cordova later for some test n tune. My children, mostly my daughter are bad influences. Daddy drive fast, daddy smoke the tires. I alway oblige. Started making the interior list tonight. Will begin on that after the weather goes to crap this fall. Did manage to get the grill finished.
