$500- 68 charger

I cleaned up the old kick panels and will paint them black with some paint made for vinyl/plastic.
I'm wondering if there is some way I could save/refurb/recover the old inner quarter window trim pads, new ones are kinda pricey.

I bet it would be easy. Hardest part is getting the window fuzzies off as they are stapled. Probably just thin batting and vinyl covered. Get some good cement or contact adhesive.

Anyone know a good place to get the fuzzies? I need them for most all the windows..

I looked into refurbishing the door pads on my car. I was told no one will be able to reproduce the designs in the vinyl. Those are heat formed and you need the proper dyes and such to do that. Something without and designs in it can be recovered, like a dash pad. So I'm told.

Yea, I was just thinking of some plain vinyl no design, for now., maybe new ones later. The rest of the back seat area is going to be sheet metal panels and/or astro turf floor so I guess those will be ok not being stock appearing.

I got these cleaned up, polished and back together., ready and waiting on some other door seals. Funny what good shape the rubber wing vent seals were after a warm soapy bath and toothbrush scrub. I am amazed at how some of these 50 year old parts clean up to look like brand new.

Kid sorry I took so long to get back to you. The master cylinder is a Right Stuff unit. I couldn't find the paper work to state size. You might call them to see what they recommend.

I found this piece of house carpet today for $20, may have to use it till later when funding gets better, then get a oem/repop rug. Will be a while before I'm ready for carpet but I saw it in a pile of remnants at a carpet store and thought I should grab it. They have auto carpet and astroturf (maybe for the trunk) also, both in a darker red tho. Funny story comes to mind, When I was a youngster I put thick black shag carpet in my 70 RR. The girls loved to take off their shoes and dig their toes thru it. I always kinda thought that was giving me a jump to 1st base... lol

I found some ss hole plugs at home depot that fit nice in the wiper shaft holes, since I won't be installing the windshield wipers, or at least not for a long time if ever.

I got a cover from walmart for $23. It appears to be plenty big enough. Surprised they had one to fit a real sized car. Also got some Meguiars wash soap and tech wax. I'll wash and wax it soon and hopefully not have to wash it again for a long time.

I'm glad someone likes it, kinda thought everyone disliked it. When/if finances allow may get a oem red carpet someday. I just didn't like the idea of everything black, not that there's anything wrong with that. I just think there's enough all black chargers already. Planning on a red tail stripe also. Here's a pic of a nice one with a red stripe.

Yes, absolutely. 3/4 red 1/4 black interior would be freaking awesome. Very very very nice kid

I've already got black seats, dash, roll bar, kick panels, etc., so what I'm thinking is red carpet, red shoulder belts/harness, maybe some red roll bar pad covers, and not sure but possibly red headliner. Also thinking about some rear seat delete panels covered in black astroturf. Got a lot more to do before most of that stuff tho.

I agree, the black and red work well. I would love to change my carpet and seats to red....but I need a money tree first.

Looking great!!

the red carpet looks great, but the only one that has to like it is YOU..it's your car, have fun with it.
and you'll like the red tail stripe..I did.

I talked to the folks at Right Stuff Detail and they said this m/c would work fine for my disc front/ drum rear set up. So I will be ordering it soon from summit, but thought I'd go ahead and get the proportioning valve I'll need also to get free shipping. Can someone tell me which one I need, that will work good and be easy on the wallet?
