Hi all, so I have a 440 with Dynomax super turbos flowing straight out the back bumper through 2.5 inch pipes. I really like the sound of them & I love its 'voice' with headers but I wish it was a little louder. My question is, if I were to switch to ultra flows are they a LOT louder or will they just add volume while still being bearable?

I didn't like my ultra flow for sound and being to loud. The wrong loud. Dyna Max super turbos in my ride.

Try a shorter case size.
Summit has cool sounding turbo mufflers that are louder than the Dyno Max mufflers.

Ahhhh..... run a set of old school cherry bombs! Or straight pipes....or just open headers. Be a man (a deaf man)

Rumblefish actually has a good idea... same muffler brand/style, just a shorter one (if available). The el-cheapo Thrush turbo mufflers you buy at the parts store are pretty decent in my opinion & last a long time too.

I have a set of the Thrush Turbo mufflers @ 2-1/2. There were "FIRED" from the job after 10 seconds on the car. Hated the sound!

I Also tried the Dyno Max VT's @ 2-1/2. Fine at idle, hated it at mid and full throttle.

Also tried the Summit mufflers. To loud in the car for what I wanted it to be for.
On a mad muscle machine, probably perfect for that. Not to overly loud and angry sound.

I ended up with the Dyno Max super turbos @ 2-1/2 for the 360 cid Magnum.

(Personal preference is everything on muffler sound.)

I had a set of Super Turbos on one of my cars. Way to quite for me. Switched to the Ultra Flows, and just love them. Perfect balance imo. I now have Ultra Flows with 2.5" pipes on all 3 of my cars.

It's all personal preference ... I too had super turbo mufflers, lasted a week. Way to quiet for me, also lost a ton of low end torque. Switched to ultra flo's, never looked back. Sound great and got my low end torque back !

Yes.... everyone has a different sound level/type that they like. I used to run Cherry Bombs on everything until I found out how bad my hearing loss was. I had "stepped down" to Thrush turbo mufflers, but my neighbors were complaining about them.....now I run the ultra-restrictive Walker stock type mufflers....not as cool IMO, but I can now hear the radio for the first time since I've owned the car :)

Thanks everyone, that's what I was looking for...my super turbs are a little too quiet for me (except at WOT) so that gives me something to think about...
