Hi guys I need a big block transmission or solution for my 65 coronet.
Looking to drop a 440 in. Cable shift car on the tree.

Thx

Yes , shift and converter if I can use the one that came in the small block. Cables are easy to get. None in hand yet

I put a 66 column in my 65 to get away from the cables.
I also used a later model transmission. The 62-65 transmissions are different from the 66 and later.

I kinda like that idea but I also like having the bench seat. Is your 66 floor shift or tree shift?

I am replacing my torqueflite with a new A&A Trans Brake Tranny.
My current Tranny is for sale at $995.00....a real bargain....95 runs on a freshen up. A rock Solid Tranny. Will handle up to 700HP.
I has a bolt in Super Sprag, Griner Reverse Pattern Manual Valve Body and rollerized Rear Support. Has powered my car to consistant 10.60's down now to 10.30. Perfect Condition.
If you want I can also sell you my Hurst Quarter Stick Shifter also for $225.00. Works Perfect.
I am in the Fresno CA area.
Let me know. Mike

My 65 Belvedere is a column shift. So to convert, you need a 66 or later steering column with column shift, the bell crank, and the rods that connect to steering column to the bell crank and the bell crank to the trans.

Very cool, that sso much for the idea, i will definitely look more into this option. If you have a moment to snap a few photos id greatly appreciate it.

This is the best pic I have. You can see the 66 column, the bell crank from a 66 or later car, and the rod from the bell crank to the trans. Need to attach the rod from the column to the bell crank.

Um....if you have a small block trans, it will not bolt up to a big block.
Jus' sayin'....
