:icon_fU:I hate verizon never have like them I think it is time to throw all my devices in the can

Had Verizon for years. Went with the "Consumer Cellular" for geezers plan. Remains to be seen if any better. Got the $99 Android so I could get the Uber app. Old phone was flip.

Snakeyes, can you switch to a different provider?

I just hate cell phones and carriers period never had problems with cans :BangHead::lol:

Not from my house. We went through this with T mobile last week before we found someone to straighten out our bill. Customer service sucks unless you find a store that cares.
This is what we discovered along the way. The expect to buy new equipment unless you presently have four antenna equipment. We spent $800 last November that would have been worthless if issues with T-Mobile had not been corrected.

I've dealt with verizon on both a major account commercial and residential aspect, and I have NEVER experienced a more conceited and threatening to the customer support model.

Their standard response to an inquiry is "the trouble is on your end" "if we have to dispatch, you WILL be billed", and no one has any authority to escalate or ability to communicate status or past history to any other employee.

Total BS.

Our 150 node WAN switched to Brighthouse/Spectrum, and it has been night and day.

Basically all the Telcom providers operate the same. They provide about the same amount of customer service (just good enough) because they know there is a certain percentage of churn (customers changing providers). So don't expect excellent service and when the employees get treated like crap it rolls down hill to the customer. Just my 2 cents worth.

Spectrum has been nothing but pleasant to deal with.

Although there has been some bungling on their end between different departments, they always "own" it and have never even suggested a problem is the customer's fault.

I've had some past experiences with Verizon, where I had to tell the technician how to operate his own equipment, and many where I've had to connect the dots for them- "you say all of my down circuits are on the same card....hmm, maybe stop dispatching to the sites, and change out the card".

My call phone is Virgin/Sprint.

There is NO customer service.

...but it's never been down- ever, in over a decade, and I've never had a billing issue.

$27 a month 300 min voice, unlimited text/data.

Lily Tomlin must still work there. We don't care, We don't have to, We're the phone company.

we went from Cable Vision to Time Warner and boy I thought TW sucked and now to Spectrum and there worst than TW

Really?

Even our home service is Brighthouse/Spectrum, and they are super friendly if we call (twice in seven years), and do the initial tests and give results while we are on the phone, even conference call another dept and we hear them interact. Absolutely unheard of with verizon.

Different take on (not too Brighthouse) Spectrum. Choppy audio, powers off unexpectedly, and pixie dust needed just to turn on the TV. Techs at the house 11 times. No resoution. Did get the WiFi fixed by phone, said it went dormant. Fix was to reboot the modem.

Back in the days of pay phones, when making long distance calls, there would normally be a delay after pick-up, in case it was an answering machine, & You could kwikly hang up before pay phone swallowed all Your change. When verizon came on the scene, they did away with that delay & the bastard pay phones ate Your money the instant the other end picked up. Pricks....that added up to a lot of extra revenue fo the ********. Consequently i stopped using any verizon pay phone & never gave a thought to buying ANY of their bullshit service.

I don't know fellas I have Verizon and travel constantly and my phone works where others won't. Just sayin

They're all overpriced and controlling. I have Verizon now after about 10 years with att. So far the only difference I see is when I call customer service with Verizon I get someone in this country. With att it was always India or the Philippines. I basically hate all the providers as they control what we do/can do and there's nothing much we can do about it.

The cable companies are even worse because they control their areas and once they got you they just keep turning down the screws. Gets to be less and less competition every year. AT&T buys Direct TV - watch and see who Verizon buys to compete. You can bet it will be a big content company. Their purchase of Yahoo! Doesn't fill their need. There's talk of it being Disney. We'll see. Sprint and T-Mobile have to hook up with someone - if not each other. In the end we're always going to be the ones getting screwed. Stayed tuned and try to hold your water.....
