Sold it. New owner picks it up weds. Been fun, but time for something different.

Topcat whiskers from Dante's. Great fit and look like the ones I had left. Once I got them, I started looking to replace and realized why p.o. hadn't done it. Many of the original clips that hold them on broke off and we're still attached to little slots on door. Took a bit to get those out, but got it. The rear ones were a little tough because of the upward bend but a little patience and I got em.

For those who have questioned cat whiskers and how good they are, these ones seem to be very good.

Picked up new diff to axle housing gasket, and yoke seal. Also sure grip additive from Mopar parts.
Also got my fresh air induction air cleaner that had to be modified. Most expensive air cleaner I ever had ! .
Buy Spectre air cleaner assembly . display model. buy it now...............approx $100
Filter that came with it , did not fit. new filter .....................................about $25
Different offset base kit for hood scoop clearance.................................about $ 40
Wrinkle black powder coat ............................................................bargain $25
( plus 100 mi round trip to take it to coaters and another 100 to pick up)
My hours spent trying to make things fit right.......................................no charge
Machine shop to make the base fit the top.................................................... $40
And I still don't have it put on yet ! ...........................MO

Starter quit on my Dakota. At least it was in my driveway. Just repeated clicks.
Sounded slow, like the battery was weak the last two times I drove it.

Thought I had one and found it still wired to a 46RE taken from a wrecked 97 Dak.
Took it off, took off the one on my 2000, and the solenoid connection is different.
2000 has a clip on plug that would not come off and broke.
Cut wire and crimped standard ring terminal, put 97 starter on and....still just repeated clicks.

What are the odds both are bad the same way- one from a vehicle that presumably started before it got in a wreck?

I did check the relay. Jumping the relay yields one click. Key yields multiple.
Tried battery first, just bought one for my D150 and other projects.

Anyone ever put an old school full size starter on a Magnum small block?

I've got a short can version to try and that's what's on my plate today.

Stupid me======bad ground to the A/C bracket bolt.
Must have forgot that one last time I messed with that.

For the record, a standard starter will work.
The trans lines were in the way, but could fairly easily be moved.

Heh, heh, heh....

are there feet up on the dash?
Good eye Watermelon! a profesional photographer took pictures of most of the cars in the cruise (800 cars).
We loved the shot he got of our Satty but my wife is a little embarrassed about the "Foot on dash, eyes closed" pose.

Why would she put her feet up on the dash? Evidently it doesn't bother you, but I would never allow that --even if it were a new girlfriend ! That certainly is no junker you are driving there......................MO

Trust me MO, she is the only person in the world who could do this to my car, but if you look at the picture closely, I don't appear to be to enthused about it! LOL.
