South Mountain Dragway Carlisle weekend

I don't know why Carlisle events no longer says anything in the program booklet about the 1/8 mile track 15/20 minutes away in Boiling Springs.But as far back as I can remember Friday was always RACE day.This year the track was rained out Friday so they ran on Saturday.
My car was not done yet so I went as a spectator.Put my pit bike in my 2500 ram,along with the BBQ box and the cooler.It was a great day for the track indeed,but the timing kept attendance down .When I parked,grabbed the camera and went for a walk

I was runner up there last year.
I'm so disappointed that I couldnt make it this year.

Bill won his class as he does on a regular basis.Sometimes he will double op and run his Dart and the truck.
Next year I will bring as many people as I can.There are many freinds of mine that NEVER drove down a legal drag strip.I will put together a FBBO day at the track!!

Those 2 cars looked GREAT! They sure are fast as well!Next year I'll grab a lane!
My car was not done in time,so I jumped into my red Ram 2500 and drove the 200 miles to Carlisle.I had 5 cars to bring on Friday,but when it was rained out they did not want to leave the fairgrounds.Soooooooooooo,
I came over after 2:00 to spectate.I was quite surprised to find Walter & Tony guest announcing that day.
I went through the pits and took some pictures,then went and hung out on the deck of the tower taking pic's & Vids.I did have the pleasure of BBQing some chow and sharing with everyone in tower.
I will drag my heap down there next year and should be in the 5's!! I will also promote FBBO,FABO & FEBO day @ South Mountain!!!
