I've seen plenty of jacked up block stampings. Double stamps etc all kinds of weirdness but one thing stays the same and it's the fonts and that font just looks way off to me.
Does this VIN stamp look correct?

I don't see any glaring differences in the font itself but the width of the indentions seem narrower and deeper, almost like it was machined with a fine cnc bit rather than stamped. It's hard to tell from the angle and paint coating but it looks flat as compared to the raised portions on the other samples. Stamped metal has to offset somewhere. First and second digit spacing seems off too. If I was an umpire I would call ' Yer out!

Here is what it boils down to in my opinion:
Is it legitimate? Is it fake? We can argue a lot about it, but the fact that we are talking so much about it says there is considerable doubt about the authenticity. We may never know, but without rock solid documentation to prove it, most would assume fake.
So if you buy the car as a NOM car, that's great - enjoy the car. But the price of the car should reflect the "uncertainty" of the stamping, since the next buyer would have the same questions...

Look inside the bottom of the number 5 and compare to the other samples. Way bigger on the possible forgery. I'm convinced it ain't legit.
