First B Body (and first big block too!)

Welcome. Cool Car
Great to see our youth take interest in cool things.

Thanks for the welcome! Do you know of any good cruises or shows coming up other than Hines Drive and Woodward?
Mopars at the Red Barns this Saturday. If you don't mind a road trip to Kalamazoo area. Look up Gilmore car museum. Btw, welcome from mid Michigan.

Thanks! I get that about the dog dishes a lot. Some people try to convince me to upgrade wheels but I think it looks mean as is.
Completely agree! I get the same comments from time to time but overall more like the steel wheels!

Welcome Sammy. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here. Sweet Satty.

I should have written it in the post...it's the 383 with the 4 barrel carb. Might be a *little* quicker than my Slant 6 Dart...

Yea, but if you are like me you will drive your A body everyday.
It's the work horse. Not the show horse.
I can't figure out why people keep asking to buy the though. (snicker)
I think my thermostat is starting to stick.
Ran a little warm yesterday on the way to work.
Gauge crept up.
But I was running punishing 80 mph in 90 degree weather.
Cooled off at idle.
I'm on the way to pop a new one in now before work.

This one has the 383 with Carter 4 barrel and the 727 3 speed auto. I think there were two different 383s for that year but haven't been able to find out for sure.

My service manual says one 383 4v 10.0 CR, unsilenced air cleaner. Standard cam.

Welcome. My daughter is also a 'Sammy'.

Thanks for the welcome! Do you know of any good cruises or shows coming up other than Hines Drive and Woodward?
