Looking for a picture of your mopars rear tires if you running a 30' or 31' diameter rear tires. Just got my +2 inch springs installed and it's skyjacking. Need to fill this big cavity with some meaty rubber. All 30-31's I see are a drag/street radial- M/T or Hoosier, I like the look but can't seem to find a decent picture out there of how this may look on my car. This wheel /tire search is really taking some time to find the right combo. Would like top stay with a 15' wheel. Must have looked at a thousand styles. All the one's that peak my interest do not come in a 15x9 or 15x10 with 5.5 BS. So I jumped up to look at 17' wheels and here I find the correct size and BS, but cannot find a 30'-31' tire in a 17' wheel. So as I've read in other threads, it's best to figure this all out before you pull the trigger on the wheels or tires.
I am not going for the "tire tucked into the wheel well look" -do like that look but not in this setup. Don't event think I could do that with what I've jacked it up to. Looking for the tire to sit just below the wheel well top lip- maybe 1' inch below. With my little 225/70/15's , I took a measurement from the center of the wheel to the lip and I have about 17', before a tire would rub. So the 30'-31' should fit perfect. 29' is just a hair to low under the lip. Would like the outside of the tire to go no further out of the wheel well than maybe 1' max. With the 5.5 BS- I'm thinking that a 12' wide tire may get me right about there. Right now I'm leaning toward the old steel wheels that I see powder coated in black, with some dog dish center caps. Was seeking a more modern wheel but cannot find the right fit. Do not want AR torq thrust wheels, although they do come in the right size. Any input/pictures is appreciated.

Be sure to figure out how much clearance you have to the front of the wheel well opening (forgot I had modified my '65 Coronet wheel wells with the 2# hammer). That was a problem when I ordered my 11.5W x 29.5 slicks that are really 30.5" diameter. A 30 or 31" tire may be very tight on the front of the wheel opening.

I also installed the General Spring 21/2 inch rear leaf springs and, like you, got way more lift than I expected (or what they advertise). I have 295 15 50 tires on 15 x 10 Weld wheel Drag Lites and it still looks a little goofy to me. With my original, old springs, the tires would rub at certain times. I may remove one leaf (fourth one from the top, according to General Springs) and lose an inch of lift. Or return these to General Spring (and pay their exhorbitant postage) and get heavy duty springs (about 1 inch lift) and if need be, new Weld Wheels with an inch more backspacing. Good luck.

Thanks for all the replies. Those M/T 's are a good looking tire on that Fury coloradodave. I'm leaning toward the M/T's. JG1966- what's the backspace measurement on those on those Weld's? What kind of room do you have on the front and back of those Kelly's? I looked it up and that's a 26.60 inch diameter. That's a little under what I have right now. I've elected to get the biggest tire I can get in there- that will fit the front and back of the well- and then have a spring shop maybe drop it down a bit to a decent height. I can't send them back since I painted them before install. Did some research today and I'm leaning still toward the black powder coated 69 cop wheels. The size is right on.

I'm not sure of the backspacing ( they were on car when I bought her). There is plenty of room in front and rear of tires.
