Making the move from 14's to 15's. Can't decide what to run tire wise.... Want big and beefy in the rear, (that's what she said  ) and smaller in the front.

Was thinking of
F 245-60-15
R 275-60-15
or
F 235-60-15
R 295-50-15

Post a pic of what you have on your 71-74 Satty/RR along with size........ please. :thankyou:

This is how is sits now, and i'd like to duplicate this look.

Not sure if this helps or not. 215/70R15 on 15x6 front and 275/60R15 on 15x8 rear. Going on 64 Polara. I'm not sure I'm going to like the fronts. Bigger tire on a 15x7 might've been better. I wanted to go for a little more of a drag look.

Sorry I can't help it, but modesty requires that I don't show my 15" rubber...

I have 235/60/14 in front and 255/60/15 (on 15x6.5) in back.

255 is the same width as my '00 Dakota R/T (255/55/17).

Couldn't get a clear shot this morning for some reason.....

Rear - N50x15 on 8.5" rim / Front F60X15 on 7" rim
also a shot of a 29x12.50 15 on an 8.5"rim (standard offset) You said Big and Beefy!:D

This is how it looks now, i'd like to stick as close to this as possible.
Currently on:
F 235-60-14
R 245-60-14

14" RWL tires are not as hard to get as a lot of people think.

(ebay)

That's why I keep 14's on the front.

I know i can get them still, but i'm also moving to discs in the front and will require 15" wheels.

My '71 Roadrunner has factory 14x6 rallye's and front disc's. So you do not have to go 15" for your conversion.

I think my RM23 BIG BLOCK car has a BIG BLOCK in it!!!!!
And in 45 yeas with a BIG BLOCK and factory disc brakes I have never had a problem stopping it.
Good luck with your project looks like a fun car.

I think 235-60-15 front with 275-60-15 rear looks really good on our cars. I have 235/60R15 on the front that fill the wheel well nicely. The rear are 255/60R15 on 7" wheel with 4.5 back spacing (0 offset). There is a huge gap around the tire and it not wide enough. I'm going to find matching 8" wheels to put 275 on the rear.

And that's just it. FACTORY DISC BRAKES. Swapping in aftermarktet discs is another story. Enjoy your car, and thanks for the info.
Cheers!
