I'm getting ready to put stereo speakers in either the door panels or the kick panels of my '71 Charger. Anyone have experience on which location worked best, tips and pictures you can share for locations and ideas?

Thanks

Decades ago, I put the speakers in the doors, and the problem I had was most of the time my leg was resting against the driver's side one. Ever since then I've always put them in the kick panels.

Custom kicks and trunk. The trunk stuff is removed as I decided to start racing instead of pro touring. It's made for a 71 hint hint.

For me back in the day when I did kick panels on my 68 Fury the sound just went into the carpet. When I got my fully optioned 76 Cordoba the speakers on top of the dash sounded really good. So we did a Retrosound radio on our 71 Charger I got a dual speaker adapter and installed two 4 inch round ones.

My bud works at a stereo shop and custom fabs. Fiberglass wrapped in vinyl.
