Modern Bullitt build

Every time I look at this build Pat I am amazed at your skill set .
You should own a high end restore shop ,I am sure people would come .

I work on high end yachts for a living,
Working on old cars is only my hobby and I going to keep it that way ;-)
Thanks
Pat

You can post photos straight from your computers browser
or probably your phone too...
You don't need any special sharing account,
flicker or photobucket whomever

I never use either of them anymore, easy peasy
just follow the instructions after you click on Upload Photos,
yellow tabs bottom right of the box,
That is if you have a file saved on either devices,
you should be able to choose from it/them...

Good luck, I do love seeing the progress too

anything past that ask the Mods to instruct you :poke:
I'm not going to be of much help

Pat,
Thank you so much for the generous offer but it's not about the money it's the principle. I will find another way to load future pictures but I'm just not going to pay the ransom to get my original pictures back online.
Thank you
Pat
I also just received my ransom demand from Photoscmucket:mob:
Post pics direct here Pat....it's so easy now...and I'm sticking this thread to the top for now....love the work happening here.

Very cool! THANK YOU!

With the bodywork close to being finished I started fitting the bumpers. Both ends needed to bent out a fraction to be parallel with the quarter panel. Then I cut about a 1/4" off of each side for a better fit. Paul's Chrome will de-chrome the bumpers and then finish the welding, they will also weld on the studs for the mounts.

Thanks

Pat

Outstanding as always Pat. Did you have to put in the rear valance corners? So far on my build that has been the worst part. I bought an AMD rear valance and corners and the corners don't come close to fitting. I only have one side done at this point and I had to cut it in half attach it to both sides and make a piece to fit in the center. They were that far off. I am more than disappointed in AMD.

Both corners are original to the car, I did have to do a small repair to the rear valance but what you see is how it came from the factory, with a little bit of massaging ;-) good luck with your car I know aftermarket parts can be very challenging.
Thank you
Pat

Love the bumper tuck
beautiful work as normal

The front bumper is now ready to head to the Paul's. Cut about 3/4 of an inch out of the front 3/8" from each side.

Thanks

Pat

With moving the rear bumper tighter to the car I had to shave the bumper guards to fit the lower valance. Started by removing the lower mounting tab and grinding away approximately 3/16" on the bottom edge to clear the valance. Then welding the tab back on.

Thanks

Pat

Here you can see how much I needed to grind off

Front valance required more work than the tail panel as there were a lot of factory imperfections. Someone also cut a couple of notches that required welding, just when I thought I was done with all the metalwork. Back to the block sanding :-(

Thanks

Pat

I'm in the process of mini-tubbing my 69 RR. I've referenced your thread here so often that I just copied all your mini-tub photos into a separate file for easy reference !!

I do have a question though ... when you cut and moved the trunk pieces to retain the factory look, you must have ended up with a huge gap over the frame rail where the "ripple is". Did you do anything about that ??

***.jpg

Yes there was a gap between the frame rail and trunk floor. I welded a small piece of metal in place to fill the gap and then use some seam sealer finish. I'll post a picture if you like?
Thanks
Pat
