Has anyone on the list installed one of their columns? I have the column in place and it is WAY too short. Their instructions say to just grab the shaft and pull it to the length you need but mine won't budge. I even tried putting the end in the vice and pulling but no luck. Any suggestions?

Directions don't much except you can slide it. Is there a set screw to unlocked?

Not that I can see. There is a small roll pin that holds the plastic cap in place at the end of the column but that's it. I am so frustrated it's not even funny. I am so sick of ridiculously priced bolt in products that don't bolt in. So tomorrow is yet another show I'll miss this year because I have to deal with someone's crap product. The worst part is I purchased it a year ago so even if it is defective I am sure they will give the the usual "sorry, it's out of warranty and our hands" bull **** answer.

Are you able to tap on the end with the shaft in a vise?...Maybe it's binded from sitting so long...Use a rubber mallet

I don't want to pound in that direction because it's a collapsible column. If I put it in the vice and pull the column up, I get a tiny bit of movement but it feels like it is spring loaded. As soon as you stop pulling, the shaft retreats. I am guessing it is not the column it's supposed to be and is a universal fit that you are supposed to use multiple couplers with. I don't want that. I want the clean look of just the column coming out of the firewall and joining to the coupler on the steering box.

The company name " Ididit" always makes me think "I D I O T."

Yeah, that's kind of how I'm feeling about them right now. It seemed like a nice piece right up until the point where the shaft wouldn't move. That's when I started to think they were idiots.

There's several pdf instructions online. Don't know which unit you have. Also there's several idiot videos on YouTube. I'm thinking you have a non adjustable unit.

Good luck

That's what I'm thinking as well. We'll see how Ididit handles it Monday. Hopefully they'll do the right thing and not hide behind policy.

I did the suspended ceilings in there new offices, there they are located in Tecumseh, mi. had a picture of Tim Allen on the wall, I guess he bought a couple columns from them. I know a few years ago they had some changes take place used to be the go to place for a custom steering columns, at least around here

I called them today and they were awesome. They said they would handle it despite the fact I bought it way back when. They confirmed the shaft should just pull out and had no idea why it wouldn't. They had me put some penetrating oil on it and try again but no luck. I'll call tomorrow to let them know and then I'll send it back. Hopefully they will just ship me one with a credit card deposit so I can get it back together for the weekend. More to come...

So no luck getting them to send a new one. They did fix the other one and I just got it back today. I was a little annoyed because the shaft was only an inch longer than it used to be and I still couldn't just pull it out like they described. I put it in the vice And voila, out it came. So it looks like tomorrow I'll spend some time putting it in. I also got my adjustable brake pushrod from Dr. Diff so I'll get that in as well. Things are moving.

Still fighting to get this install finished. I got the column I just fine and the for is good. I couldn't use my old steering wheel adapter for the Grant wheel so I had to order one from Ididit. Last step is to hook up the turn signals. The problem is the adapter they sent has a different plug on it than mine. My writing was all butchered when I bought the car so I am guessing the plug is not correct. Here is a picture of mine. Can someone confirm if this is what theirs looks like? Or if someone recognizes it from a different year can they tell me which year? I would rather order an intact adapter than cut and splice into the one I have.
