When was the cast iron 6 pack manifold introduced ?

The ex.produktion cast iron manifold when was it introduced ? Are there early -70 cars whit Edelbrock manifolds ?Are there late -69 cars whit cast iron manifolds ?
 
1970 model year for the iron manifold. There have been rumors of early 70 models produced with the aluminum manifold. I have never seen one.

I have an iron Manifold. It looks almost identical to the alum version. It is heavy as hell. My understanding was Edelbrock's foundry could not keep up with production after 1969 with the additional to more production model sixpack cars over the A12 69-1/2 cars so Chrysler made their own in 1970 in cheaper cast iron to keep up with production of the additional, Chargers, Challengers, Cudas, etc.

I know of a 'Cuda 440+6 with an aluminium intake from factory - the early cars apparently got some leftover parts. I have posted pics in the past of the car - a highly optioned vehicle.
 
It seems that any 70 model 6 bbl or six pack produced with an aluminum manifold was for the purpose of depleting inventory. But at the same time it would seem that some aluminum manifolds would need to be held in stock for warrantee reasons, I would think.
Some of the aluminum manifolds were known to crack. I wonder if a iron manifold would have been used as a replacement on a 69 A12. I've never heard of that happening either.

I believe the iron version was a 70' only thing. There will not be any 69 A12 cars with an iron intake (from the factory anyway).

That is correct. Although 71 V code cars used an iron intake also.
 
I have an iron intake and carbs with a December 1970 date code.
 
I had an early '70 model year alum intake and carbs. I think by at least January 1970 everything was switched to iron.

Friend worked at a dealer and warrantied aluminum manifolds with cast iron ones.

'71 and I believe '72, Chrysler offered a marine six pack (M-440S). Hard to imagine they would park a cast iron anchor under the carbs for a boat application. Then too, it is Chrysler. My marine carb set came with an aluminum intake. I can't say for fact that's how it came from the factory though.
