OAT type antifreeze is especially hard on solder. The glycerine is supposed to be much kinder to it, but more expensive to produce.Back in the 60s and 70s I was a Chrysler Plymouth mechanic,Ma Mopar told us there was a reaction to the solder used in the rad with anti freeze used,caused the corrosion problems.
bee line the beer up and just take your time ,why speed read and get dizzyOK,,, well I'm a little dizzy from quickly speed reading all the above( and a few brews!) so I'll just go with any of the above & change every 2yrs., never get to 24,000miles. Way too much thinking about this(also the engine oil fiasco). Put in an alum rad. last year, so I gotta kinda watch out. Here we go to extend the thread!!!
Heck, I probably butchered the copy/paste.Ed, it looks good. 2/24000 for me,LOL. Read too many stories about dex-cool,not for me. Course, GM never could get anything right,and I part-timed at a GM dealership for 3-4 yrs!
What's really scary is that those old guys where there 40 years ago and were very young at that time like myself, but I don't look old, how can that be? Now I have to see what I've been using since 1977, it's green and smells sweet.Peak for me. They are an NHRA sponsor of John Force and company.
