The IRS is getting welded in so the frame rails were cut:

This is the plate that will be welded in to cap the frame rail.

Second segment of the tunnel has been welded in. A bezel (seen in bottom right corner) is in process which will have a groove all the way around; carpet will fit into the groove.

After having the Roadrunner dash powdercoated, I changed directions and bought a 1968 Charger Rallye dash frame off one of the facebook trader pages for $100 plus shipping. Here it is in place:

I also picked up a set of Dakota Digital gauges.

Inner wheel tub time! The inside edge of the inner tub was cut out on both sides. I new AMD inner tub will be welded in. In essence, this does the same job as adding the widening strip, which can be purchased.

Very methodical work, me like. I am also going to use "new" challenger seats so I might do the same mod to the floorpans to get the seats mounted as low as possible.. thread will be followed closely!

The AMD rear window lower corner patches weren't even close to being right. They took a ton of work to make them look right. Right rear window corner patch progression:

It took a ton of work to make the window edge parallel the rear window trim this well.

WOW, some great work goin on here! I really like the subframe connectors, that probably makes more sense the way you did them than any I've seen with them passing threw the torsion bar crossmember. Tubs tunnel, rear window corners and everything else looks great.

Curious as to what your going to do back where the IRS mounting has nearly cut the frame in half? Building structure that extends into the trunk?
Nice work!

The original frame rail is much thinner in several areas but.....
1. The original frame rails are really well braced/reinforced by the welded in IRS frame.
2. The walls of the IRS frame are beefy
3. The original rear subframes were reinforced
4. The surface area where the IRS frame is welded to the original rear subframes is quite large so it spreads the load.

To sum it up, the rear rear frame rails and IRS frame are done

Haven't done much in the last couple months but I did move my fenders and hood over to Matt's shop for fitment.

It didn't realize it would feel so good to just hang doors and fenders on it. It looked so much more complete!
