I am assembling my car now and when I got to the sail panel lights, I realized the bulb 1004 I have is painted at the lower edge near the brass. I don't think it is cooked white grease, because there was no grease in the socket whatsoever. Does anybody know anything about this? Was it to reduce the brightness? One thing I do know, it was in my car and it is painted! Now, why is another question!
