It's been a fantastic 2 weeks. Went 5 rds at Norwalk NMCA winning N/SS. Made the trip to MM South. Had a trailer flat on the way. We made 4 test hits Friday night. Car was to quick. Got it slowed down and qualified 9.247 on a 9.25 which put us down the ladder being under. Last year no one redlighted against me all year (even though they left 1st). However I redlighted, a lot. This year different story. My lights have been good and opponents are taking chances against me. Saturday 3 red lights, though my packs were decent. Final rd 5 in the dark against Mike Dechicho took a .004 stripe for the win. 10 straight rd wins. Sunday qualified with a 9.241. Again towards the bottom. the advantage to qualifing at the bottom is if there is a late rd bye its on that side of the ladder. Sure enough we got a bye in the Semis to the final. In the final it spun hard. I stayed in it but to be honest I thought I lost. When I stopped the kid at the ET shack smiled and gave me the time slip. My opponent Rick Newmeyer (who I had run at Norwalk. Congrats to Rick on
2 finals in 2 weeks) had gone under by .006. 15 straight rd wins.
