Mocajava here and relocating to Denver from Alaska in about two weeks, Oct 1, 2017. Looking forward to meeting some of the people I have only been able to read about and chat on line to in the Denver area. I know I will be off for a while but am hoping to get dialed in on any remaining car shows for the year in that area. I really hope to meet the Mopar FBBO people that live close to see if I can get tied in to the Mopar family there. Don't hesitate to send me a line and I will do my best to respond. Looking forward to the change...Mocajava

You lucky dog. I'm sure you liked Alaska but I used to live in Denver for about ten years and consider it one of the best places in the country to live. You're going to love it there! You posted. Pic of your ride so - okay you're welcomed back as a new oldie ......

PHEW...I got by that re-entry by the skin of my teeth! Thanks GetX'd, even got a piece of land outside town so I can see those mountains and remind me of Alaska. Any recommendations as to what a MOPAR guy can get into there? Open to any suggestions, as I left an offshore boat in AK and have to find others things to occupy my time.

You can start growing .......
Oh, and you might need bigger wheels on the front:D

Well you can probably forget the offshore boat thing in CO. That was the one thing I didn't like was there was no water there - no lakes - just a few treeless reseviors. Lots of streams and a few rivers for fishing though. The out door life is great partly because the weather cooperates most of the time. Nothing like AK - sun shines most of the time. Doesn't get real cold there. I remember when I moved there from Minnesota- thought I was in heaven. There are also several local Mopar clubs that have regular shows and cruise events. Not sure if there's still a drag strip there or not. People are great - a lot of migrants from the Midwest. Post here for Colorado members and you have them chime in. One thing you have to watch for is the hail storms - make sure your alert for those. Frequent and can ruin your whole day .....

Great info and had forgotten about hail! It has been so long since I lived anywhere but here and Alaska doesn't have many hail issues. Looking forward to the aspect of sunshine most of the time, we have gorgeous days up here but are a lush climate...everything is green here and we do get a lot of precipitation. Will be posting to look for other members down in Co. and hope to get in the mix with the locals. THX

Congrats on the move,
I really miss Alaska myself sometimes,
mainly the breakup & summer, long days
the winter, not so much now, I loved it way back when thou...

Nice you got a piece of land too

Go Raiders

Will try and touch base before I sign out for the long wait. The dang furniture, tools , guns and computer won't be there for 30- 45 days. It will be a long dry spell without the bare necessities...but I will catch up to everyone. Will be on the last plane ride on the 23rd of September, Denver bound.

Made it to Denver, bought a house north of town and getting settled in. Apparently I am bad luck as it has rained 6 of the first 9 days I am here. Furniture is delayed so it may be almost Thanksgiving before the furniture gets here...almost 7-8 weeks! Living on a box spring and mattress with two bar stools, a fridge and washer dryer...camping out! My 69 Coronet is riding in the tail of the moving van all covered up with blankets. Measured out this 3 car garage and only two stalls are long enough to fit my Dodge into....damn these garages are tiny and unheated! Love the neighborhood as already spotted 5 classic/ hot rods here...just no MOPARS! Will have to introduce these guys to a REAL street machine.

LOL, it always rains while moving. At least ur in the lower 48 again. Welcome from Ohio.

STILL WAITING for the furniture and my Coronet to get here. I swear they must have put my moving van on a barge with 8 guys paddling from AK to Seattle...a cost cutting measure! We are told it will be another 3-4 weeks before it arrives, nothing like unloading furniture in the snow. Oh well, life goes on and the wife and I are headed to Ideal South Dakota for my annual pheasant hunt with friends. Four days of chasing the wily ringnecks and playful ribbing about how badly we all shot. Will update with pics when the van finally arrives.

Welcome to Colorado!!!! There are a lot of Mopar guys here, I am up north of Denver, but at least you will have to go to the Mopar Mile Hi Nationals in July, we have the Annual Mopar only car show in Fort Collins in July or August, there is the Good guys car show in Loveland in September, and many, many, many more shows all along the front range during the entire summer.
