Deceiving is the best way I can describe it. After enjoying a car show together a good friend and I traded off cars for some fun and fun it was. Never haven driven a car with this much power I accelerated carefully then floored it... Got a little sideways and was doing 110 mph before I could look down!!! Holy cow is it smooth and fast... The Charger feels slow now.:(

Boost is in my future.

A friend of mine got to beat on one for a little bit, he said about the same thing.

Weekend car show hosted by a Dodge Dealer. Know better than to drive one. Low mile deals may be around. Sales had Linda sitting in a 392 Charger. Lucky we did not come home with his/hers. Don't know if I possess the restraint required to be a Hellcat owner.

Just bought a slightly used 2016 Hellcat Challenger with 4,000 miles on it. AMAZING is the only word I can say. I've had 6 426 hemi cars over the years and they are also amazing cars to drive but the smoothness of the Hellcat just makes the old cars feel like old cars. I've taken couple of friends for a quick drive around the neighborhood and just hitting the throttle VERY briefly you're going 85 down the street. I fear a ticket is in my future :)

Lucky you and thats awesome....the lady to the far right in the pic, based on her facial expression she didn't get to drive/ride in one, lol....

You've crossed the Hp rubicon .

I think they look cool, and they have good power for sure.. .. But I prefer to stick with a Car I can work on...

So why not have both? Besides at a certain age there's something to be said for NOT having to work on a car.

Good for you to feel one. Now you know what is tough to express in words.
I bought a 09 SRT8 challenger new and had 18k miles of comfort and fun.
Soon I made the push and bought a 15 hellcat challenger.
The hellcat is all of the SRT with the extra smile I feel in any gear at anytime. Soon The 09 SRT was just taking space and when I took it for a drive I wondered what I was feeling about it that was so cool? It may as well been an RT model.
Several dealers kept sending me quotes to buy my 09 SRT because it was a good seller. Since I hardly drove it and needed the space I sold it for 25k to one of them.

For street and freeway driving the hellcat has more than enough for satisfaction in spirited driving. BTW a Demon is not in my scope. I see it as a drag version of the hellcat and nothing more.---Not for me--

Welcome to the club my god it was a blast wasn't it! But a sense of slowness comes over you when you get back in your car and drive it ! I drove the kitty and got back in the 440 4 speed charger made me almost cry I thought it had a 318 in it!!!!
Congrats now you know what your missing when are you going to buy one!
Here's the cat that popped my hell cat cherry!

It is fun to compare a 426 Hemi B Body car to the hellcat. They both have windshields with wipers.:D
My son brought a friend of his over a few weeks back and we played with cars.
I took them both for a drive in the 69 hemi coronet and then the hellcat. The difference is stark but both were great fun.

True... But it gives me a excuse to get out of the house so I dont have to do house work..

They are awesome...time will tell if they become as cool and desirable as the vintage iron we love..

I'm sure that in 25 years they'll still be super cool and desirable...and most of them will be inoperable due to some irreplaceable unobtainable tiny little integrated circuit that failed somewhere inside one of the computers.

I just looked at used Hellcats on line, still out of my budget. Never driven in one but watched quite a few pull high 11 1/4 mile times at the Nats.

The conspiracy nut in me wonders if the Feds continue to gain power over the people, will computer controlled cars like these be rendered obsolete in order to force people into electric cars. Sad thing is, if they get control of ALL of the utilities, they control how we move about as well.
You can run a diesel vehicle on waste oil, cooking oil, all sorts of things.

I really hate 'having' to work on my newer daily drivers but for some reason, I didn't mind working on the older stuff when I was using them as daily drivers. At least I knew I could work on the old stuff without having to have scanners and special tools and then having to go buy electronic sensors etc that might not work or the scanner left something out of the equation of the electronics nightmare. Crankshaft sensors, cam sensors.....blah lol

Drive one & you'll want it.
Don't have to drive one to know I want one!
