ok the older I get the more "mopar different" I seem to get. I like stuff that I like and is different. so I have been thinking of looking for a solid, running, complete 62-7 B Body. anyone with actual knowledge of what they will bring ( when that unique person actually makes an offer???)) ha... I figure under $1000. anyone??

Depends on you. Running and driving in the $1500 to $3000 range for a good one.But it is relative to your area. Rusty will be less.Out here a rust free driver will fetch the higher price. This one cost me $1700. complete down to the wheel covers, running and driving with all new brakes and good tires.Very little rust thru in one side of the floor and one quarter at the very bottom.

I figure early B bodies are worth more than the 66-7's. and also running and running/driving means good brakes and exhaust, tires.. worth more..... i have owned many mopars since beginning the hobby in mod 80's. I have been into A bodies, and mostly early A's last 10-12 years. an early A project will part out for more than it brings as a project! ha
I figure 4 door B Body projects are worth their value in parts unless it is really slick..and run/drive.... as a rule of thumb.

Funny how correct you are about the early A's.Hell just about all of the classes of Mopars are worth more in parts than whole.
I check the Craigs List ads local and the 62-67 cars come up often. The lowest price was a 65 Coronet 4 door, no motor or trans and the back window was missing along with one side glass for $595.That same car has been off and on for a few years now and started out at $3000.

I admit to being "conservative" (cheap), but I have owned many mopars since the mid 80's. all varieties. much easier to buy one,,... than ever sell and get ya money back out, no matter if you spend a $ on it or not! so if it is a project, my rle of thmb is NVER pay more for it than it worth in parts. SO I have not owned a 68-70 b body in bout 15 years!!!!! ha,,,,
and CL, what is it 99% of those people are smoking!!???? ha

True, sometimes CL people are out there, but bargains do pop up.
It seems I never have any money when they do.............
