Yeah....I said Corvette. My original plan was to wait about a year before make the move. But the more I look at cars, read up on them and see what is out there in my price range, the more excited I am getting. I may be taking pics of the vette this weekend and posting up for sale.

Welcome from NC. With a budget of $50k you might find a decent clone. You would have a better shot picking up a pretty nice RR with a 383 for $30-35k, that leaves you $15-20k to convert it to a clone, which is way doable.
 
Welcome to the site! You can easily find a nice clone (like the one below) for your budget. I'm going A12ish clone look for my GTX, I just need a 6 Pack hood to finish it off sans the 6 pack carb setup...maybe at a later date.

My white whale was a 1969 RR A12 clone in high school. The guy had a nice black on black with great sounding motor and race interior plus roll bar. Always said he was willing to sell, never committed. Same wheels as the one below. Saw it occassionally for years.

I have a 440 6 pack car, although it was originally a 383 car. F/G hood, 3.91 gears, auto, console, bucket seats, orange and black. Near new 6 pack intake and carbs. Great condition. Performer RPM heads, new Patriot headers, new Lunati Voodoo roller cam and Crane Gold rocker arms. This car is FAST, and runs great! Some fading of paint on top areas. Message me for more details.
