hemi-itis , thanks for the like . i had about six or seven 6 71's done by rudy petra . and then i got a deal on three 8 71's for my salt racer engines , rudy done them also . so i sold off some of the 6 71's to fuel the funds for the 8 71's . the 8's will make 50psi on a 500ci . my engines are way smaller , one is 371 hemi from a 354 , another is 291ish hemi as it was in the desoto . only looking to boost them 30psi . so the huff'rs don't work so hard , because they stay foot to the floor for miles . but i have a blown 301 hemi w/ 6 71 in the pics for my 48 austin a 40 gasser project . but i have a 392 with early iron hot heads port job . thinking i might go to an 8 71 on it , and put that in the austin . and get back on my 63 sf , its a mw package with a 470 b block . still building the engine . but getting closer . no and by the way , your 63 has given me some answers to some issues with mine . oh ya the other pic is a 6 71 on a 383 with lp fuel mixers on it . just a idea i had . Those 1st gen hemi's did some crazy power blown!I was looking at the the LPs wondering how much fuel they flowed!
I have never felt much more than 13 lbs of boost, now with 9:1 static I'm limited to 4/5 lbs on pump gas.Picked up a few pails of C16 for a track rental coming up.The C16 can handle up to 14 lbs, then more octane will be needed.

ModMan intake SB Mopar....
Note the $800 offset distributor that must be used due to Indys shitty engineering on their manifold for blower location..... lol

hermi-itis , yes i've got a few early hemi projects my 48 austin gasser is looking more like a 70's issue , eaz ier to get pistons for a 392 then my 301 , and my salt project has a desoto 291 hemi and a swap out to a chrysler 354 hemi just stretched to 371 , both of these engines will see up to 30lbs from my 8 71's . and my 27 t hotrod will share that 371 hemi for the drags . it has a blower setup atop the b wedge in it now . use that else were . now the lp setup , should flow more then enough fuel , its the air rate of the throttle bases that control them in a wfo throttle . but its a 10.0 to 1 motor , since lp bang is less . just a street motor turn it to 5kish . thinking lp is very cool fuel . might just keep the intake track cooled down enough to make 500-550 fpt . in a street rod different is very cool n blown to boot , lol . who doesn't love that . and i'm just lov'n his guys rear bearing plate . one of my 6-71 is wearing weiand rear plate front plate n intake , that it atop that 301 . if i could get pistons for that on the cheap . it would look like a 66 issue austin gasser . but to many projects to seek them out . it will always find a home in one of my rods .
