New to Forum, new to mopar, 69 Charger

Thanks for all the replies, as you know it gets a little frustrating making progress - my goal is every weekend some progress!

Let me dig on the rockers (I don't know what they are constructed with) - agreed if they are needle bearings I will replace them.

Kind of a fun story how I got the car - here is the picture I took when I drove by it on my way to a biddies house!

I've got more than one here that resulted from stopping out of the blue when a car was parked outdoors. Just stopped to chat about the car and they follow home.
Buy your boy a project car that "he likes" and work on them both together. Lets him get interested and learn to work towards something.

Welcome from SW AZ! That Charger looks great and glad you saved it. What was the previous owners story on the car? What is going to be your goal...driver, restomod, show car?
As for the Crane rockers I don't know much about them but I was told to stay away from the full rollers. Get a set that is bushed on the shaft and keep it simple. What are the specs on the cam? Engine specs?

haha- no don't owe anyone money!

Something's I'm working on:

Throttle and kick down bracket
Purchasing: pwr steering pump and brackets, purchasing alternator and brackets.

Figuring out how to make my really right stuff trans lines work with my headers.

At this point I'm just going to get it in the road- it's got a mild built 440 that has never ran yet. I put disc up front and rebuilt the drum rear. Sure grip and 383 gears. It's gonna be a run to the movies, church, store kind of car. Oh ya- mounted up a set of black cop car wheels a couple months ago I love the way it looks!

Welcome from North Carolina.

Welcome from the show me state!

Welcome aboard Cary! It's great to have your enthusiasm and excitement with us! You won't get a lot of help from the kid unless you take his phone away or give him some incentive not to play with it during Car School. :D

After 3 years apart, here it is on the ground! We installed the new Cold-Case radiator last week, it worked out killer, I'll post some pictures of that as well!
