Raised in a classic/antique car family I've always loved cars. Since I was a teenager going to Carlisle with my father in the late seventies/early eighties I've always wanted a '70 Roadrunner but my father wouldn't let me buy one- afraid I would kill myself and/or be financially drained by it. I ended up with A '69 Camaro RS convertible that I still have and I almost killed myself and was financially drained by that car too- never figured that one out. The '70 Roadrunner is at the top of the bucket list now- preferably a Hemi -driver. Been looking on line but feel like I'm off target in my search. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have been a mopar fan my whole life and I am excited to be a part of this forum. Thank You!

Welcome aboard.

You have anymore criteria on what your looking for.. original, numbers matching or just the look? A Sattelite would be your best bet for finding a cheaper option since they're the same body without the demand.

Getting the word out and checking all the typical places (craigslist, classifieds, auto trader, etc) is a good start. Might frequent the shows and swap meets as well. I see a lot of great deals on craigslist, today I saw a 67 Fairlane for $1,500!!!! Love those cars. Good luck

Welcome to FBBO - you could always try cars on line website. Lots of RRs on it. Tend to be 5e. Iced ones. So hope you have something of a budget.

Welcome also, wishing you luck.

Thanks for the reply and info. I don't need numbers matching but would like period correct and largely stock. I had thought about the Satellite option but I have saved a long time for this so think I'll try for a Roadrunner. Thanks again for your help.

Good to know I have never heard of that one and yes what I have found have been pricey- Thanks for your help

Welcome to the madness form North Carolina . . . best wishes on finding your dream car . . .

Welcome from NC! What's your budget?
Well, I've been saving/planning on this for about 30 years so I put my limit at about $100k.I probably would have done something sooner but as these cars exploded in value I was afraid of being "taken"- I'm not up on all the decoding, rare options, fair value, etc. I know just a few options can sway value considerably.-Thanks!

Thanks for the info- I appreciate it!
Yes, I religiously watch hemmings and they do have a pretty good volume of Road Runners going through. I'll check the other one you suggested out as well - thanks for the help.
