I don't have the words Gary. You're one of the good guys and it sucks knowing you and your family have to face this. It's reassuring to know the scowl will live on with your daughter and I sincerely and wholeheartedly wish the best for you.

Karra, hope you and your family are getting along ok. It'll get better each day, I know it has for me after losing my father several years ago. Sounds like a good friend there helping you with the car.
 
Thank you Karra. I am one of many who only knew your father through this very thread. It is a sad but happy moment to see you post here. It is nice to know his dream will be carried on. Yet it is a sobering moment to look at the car and remember the struggles and the successes of his build. I will continue to follow his build.

It was/is such a privilege for us members here that follow this thread that we got a taste of the wonderful man that was your father, Gary! I too only knew him from this thread and a few PM's. Such a wonderful thread it is and that is so fulfilling the progress will still continue...

This is one of these builds that must come to fruition and be presented in it's full glory.....I have no doubt that you and his friend will make that happen.....

Bless your heart Karra, I didn't not know till now. He has been in my prayers for a long time. I only new your dad from here as well but could tell he was a really cool guy. I had some 70 roadrunners myself so we had that in common and I've followed his work on the car since he started. Take care and peace be with you and your family. Hope to see you here with pics and progress reports.

Welcome Karra - very glad to have you aboard - we all miss your day and know that you're going through some difficult times - you're all in my thoughts and prayers. It's not easy losing you dad, but you'll get through this one day at a time . . .

Hey Karra, so glad you have came on the site to keep us posted on your build. I met your Dad and hung out with him for the day a few years ago at the Mopar Nats. You can be very proud of the man he was - anybody would be blessed to consider him their friend. I strongly feel that finishing up the car will help with your healing process. It will be rough, but does get easier with time. I still think of my Dad every day and he has been gone 15 years now.

I met your dad at the Columbus Nationals a few years ago, much like on the forum your dad was a great guy full of ambition, excitement and always encouraging to everyone else. The project he started has many of us sitting on the edge of our seats just waiting to see the final result, his vision for the car is one that will be turning heads everywhere it goes.

Like everyone else has said we're here to help if needed. I commend you for taking on the task of finishing what your dad started and poured so much passion into. He'd be proud and you'll forever have the coolest keepsake a girl could have. Best wishes on your journey

Welcome Karra, like many others here I only knew your dad through this forum.
We shared a common brotherhood as Linemen also.
I know for certain Gary is in a better place, but those words can bring little comfort. I wish you and your Mom the best in all you do, and by all means find a way to continue on the car. At the end of the day, it's just another car. But it was Gary's car, and now yours. It's special.
He will be there with you when you finally take it for a ride.

I also knew your dad through this forum and our car builds influenced each other a lot!!

I miss the joking remarks and pushing the boundaries to build cooler cars and my heart goes out to you but I am so glad to see you are here and the car will keep pressing on to be another great connection you will always have with your dad.

Like many others, I knew your dad only through the forum. But major builds like your dad's help to show the kind of person they are as they progress through various stages of the build and write about it; he was one of the good ones! I looked forward to the updates on his car and his many cool ideas. Most importantly, build threads help to build relationships through a mechanical thing called a car. It makes the car special, and helps to bring people together. Make that car a special memory of your dad; take it to shows and connect with the people who knew him. Also know that he will always be in the passenger seat with a big grin on his face too!

As said earlier, this is a great site with lots of knowledge and capability. Keep us updated and let us know what issues and challenges you may have. Glad to help in any way we can...

welcome here but first of all I'd like you to know that I'm sorry for your loss.
As many of the others I only knew your dad through his thread, and I'm glad that you will continue his post and his build, once it will be finished when you will go out for a ride it will be a great tribute to him, and he will be with you.

This photo may be on here already but why not. I think the rumor is that we are still going to get the car dipped early next year. It will be a slow process.

The guy working on my dads car has been best friends with him for over 25 years! It has been more than hard for him to start working on it.

We just want to make my dad proud when this car finally gets done. It will all take time

Keep the faith Karra. Be sure to show this thread to the builder. Have him chime in here. The guys on here will be a great source of moral support. I'm sure it is tough on him, it would be on me if it were my long time friend.
 
I would also like to say please post your needs here. I for one would love to help out if I could with some parts. I have one part in mind I would love to donate.
