I need some help with my 69 RR vinyl top. Currently the vinyl top trim holes are missing. Years back someone removed the vinyl top and welded the three holes for the vinyl trim.

Does anyone have some measurements to exactly where they should be drilled. I would also need to know the hole size for the trim clip.

Thanks

have tried pulling the headliner covers behind the rear window to see if you can see weld spots,if so just drill those spots out,if no one took the time to grind spots down from the inside you should have guide to holes just drill them out from inside.

I believe the clips on that trim slide on the piece. So if you just have the two ends lined up you could put them in about anywhere. Except for the places they pop into the trim itself. I will be putting them in my car too as I have new 1/4s.

Good idea moparjohnny. I will look later today.

69GTX do you think I should drill these holes after the car is painted or figure this out while the cars in epoxy state?

Any idea what size holes?

I would do it before paint then the holes are sealed, I'm unsure of hole size.

Hopefully someone has a car apart that they could check.

BEFORE PAINT.....Also fit up your trim, all trim prior to paint

This is my 69 rr. I have no idea if they are original or replaced. The top is long gone and the other side has no clips at all. However, if it helps........

Thanks gdrill. I will check the measurements tomorrow.

Can someone please post some pics of the trim for the vinyl.
I am not sure if I have the correct trim. The end that meets the rear window trim sits a 1/4 " higher than the window trim. Is this normal?
