Hello all,

I'm looking to buy the original radiator/heater hoses for my 67 GTX. I am looking for the ones that have the Mopar numbers on them in white (which I believe is correct). Has anyone bought these and where did you get them from? I'm also looking for any feedback on the topic as well.

Thanks!

Stamped reproduction hoses look correct to the lay person but in reality the stampings are not correct...

Hoses were dated too....no reproduction is dated....

NOS is virtually non existent...

It just depends on how accurate you want to be. I have a guy that stamps hoses correctly but I do not think he does anything pre 68.....

Is yearone the only supplier of these hoses?
So the reproduction ones are just missing the date codes? So they just have the part numbers on them?

Zero date codes, Incorrect Font and Incorrect pentstar stamp.....

Again, the only time these things matter is in reference to OE judging etc....So the general show goer would never notice nor know....

It depends on what type of restoration you are trying to accomplish...

Bill Rolik sells great parts no question....but if you are looking for a 100% correct hose based on plant and build date those are not the correct hoses....

Your only choices are NOS(good luck) or buy the reproduction hose and remove the stampings on them and restamp the correct format, font and dates.....

If the correct areas above are not a concern than those hoses are nice for those types of restorations...

Dave Wise provides great information but the best source is to buy one of his books in relation to ones car...Also keep in mind they are not 100% nor a step by step restoration guide....They are a great resource...

If any of you guys want to see if the guy I use can do your years for the heater and rad hoses....PM me and I will give you his contact info..

As Justin pointed out, many of the reproduction hoses will have a combination of errors. They will have the Pentastar logo stamped onto the hose. Most of the original assembly line hoses will only have a part number, a vendor code and the "rad end". Some of the hoses would have a "tracer line" that ran the length of the hose. Another error due to the incorrect font sizing is that the stenciling is located incorrectly on the hose. And the largest discrepancy in my eyes is that the hose "pebbling" or small indentations in the outer surface is not smooth as the current reproduction hoses use.
Again, as Justin pointed out, most people have no ideal on these small areas of concern and only impacts those who are trying to duplicate an OE level car and that is some of the areas why one Hemi Charger is an $85,000 car and the other car is a $150,000 restoration for example. It is the attention to the details.

My good friend it is no worry whatsoever....

In the end I do agree with your point about the cost of these repro/nos hoses versus a new OTC one....Part of the industry that is ridiculous

After considering your point and the OP's intention, I thought I was just muddying up the waters with my opinion.

Production hoses has ribs that ran full length of hose vertically was not smooth. Look in yards.

Let me clarify, the one the PO had on the car. I replaced it when I added an overflow tank.

I'm not saying this is NOS. I'm saying it is what the previous owner had on the radiator when I bought the car. It has a green stripe and 3 thin ridges running the length of the hose and the hose is really thick.

Cool looking hose but not original. The original is thin walled and has ribs. Frank Badalson offers a correct new hose.
