hi,does anyone know how many 1970 road runner convertible with 383 auto were made with alpine white.thanks

I was just throwing out a number as a guess.
843 total convertibles divided by 28 offered color options = 30

thanks, ive had car a long time .it just dawned on me as to how many may have been made in that color.thanks

Colors are broken down by percent of total manufactured. I think Galen has a book with that, also there should be somebody here that has one too.

For what it's worth, I have personally only seen one 1970 Road Runner convertible that was Alpine White. I saw it back in the late '80's at Car Craft Nationals in Duquoin, IL. It had no hood, a 6-71 blower and power windows, white interior & "probably" a white top (top was down at the show).

Also, I think there were only 824 built & I am not aware of any color breakdown.
799 - 383's
22 - 440+6
3 - Hemi

My number could be off, so don't take this as Gospel. I also have not seen a transmission breakdown either. I would "guess" that there would be more of the high impact colors for convertibles, but that is only a guess.

I would think that with the price of the ragtop, it would go to more conservative buyers in 1970.....and a more refined appearance.

The Options and Accessories report tells us about cars built for sale in the US.

Approximately 3.5% of the 1970 RR verts, about 23 cars, built for sale in the US were Alpine White.

You cannot cross reference this number to other items like engine or transmission.
