I'm working on a friends 540ci 68 Coronet and I'm having a major problem finding the correct pulley for the power steering pump. It has the federal style TRW pump and the original pulley was bent and I can't find the right one anywhere! All I can find are for federal pumps with a 5/8 shaft diameter. I guess there's 3 different size shafts on these since the federal style is too big and the another federal pulley we bought is too small so we need the one in the middle :) Anyone have a clue on where I can get one? Or a complete TRW pump with one? This has been a thorn in my side and I really want to get this fixed for him. Thanks for any help with this.

Bend yours back.

If the car is not a "sleeper" switch to a Saginaw pump. Much easier for parts availability.

I have a spare pulley except mine is around .805"
Sorry I can't help you out.
As stated: it is cheaper in the long run to switch to a Saginaw. Just make your mind up ahead of time on those pulleys as they come either pressed on or keyed with a retaining nut.( both style pulleys available through the classics industries). eBay and classic industries also has the pump mounting brackets.

Is there enough material to open the hole size?
Plenty, we actually took it to a machine shop with the original pulley and they're going to bore it out to the size we need. Hopefully they can do it to save some money.
