What is your opinion of PUI seat covers. How do they compare to Legendary? 1968 Plymouth GTX- Sport Satellite....Thanks for your input.......................MO

As a vendor for both brands, it can be pot luck on what kind of quality you get from either manufacture. For the most part, the Legendary brand has better quality control, but they do have there own issues. The actual material that Legendary uses now is considerably thinner than it was years ago.
The big thing is to verify the seat covers are accurate and fit upon arrival. Do not purchase the covers and let them sit two or three years and determine that they are issues with them. Having that problem now with a set of Challenger seat covers for a customer who purchased the Legendary covers. The panels do not line up at all. It has been resolved, but a lots of frustration on everyone's part that could have been avoided.

69bfan, that's a good point about any purchase; check it when you receive it and don't wait until you are ready to install it.

I had some legendary covers, that were too big. I had to have them re-sewn by my interior guy. Legendary said it wasn't possible...but if I returned the covers for the buckets, they'd send new ones. I asked about sending the rear vert seat as well. They said no, and I asked if they would match. They said it's possible they won't.......so I said screw-it, and had my guy re-sew the covers/tighter.

They do not offer 68 GTX/Sat covers on their website.....Did you call to verify?

FWIW, Over all, for my first crack at it, I'm pretty happy with how my '69 PUI set came out.

But, after the fact I'm hearing a LOT of negative on PUI.
So I requested a sample from Legendary to do a side by side comparison.....

So I'd have to give Legendary the QC award as 69bfan stated above.

Guess I should have put my Legendary covers that I bought 20 years ago, they're still in the box. I found a parts car with same color seats and used them.

Lol, It took me a year to gather the nerve to start mine! I was surprised to find so many sharp edges on the frames so I rounded them off and de-burred. Had three hinge bolt nuts that needed to be welded back on as well. Made marks at the centers of the covers and frames. They lined up nicely for me.

Your seats look nice................MO

Several years ago we put pre sewn upholstery on my son's bucket seats. The vinyl was thin and the seams started ripping in the seat bottoms. Don't remember who actually manufactured them. Any one have that trouble with theirs? who made them? ..................................MO
