Hi, I've installed an. MSD system on my 440engine 19 68 coronet. A one wire alternator too.
I Have yet to try to start car.
I plan to use the old positive coil wire for the key on power of the MSD 6AL box.

My question(s) are , what do I do with the old wiring connections for the old voltage regulator, ballast resistor, ect...

Do I just tape them up? Do I have to wire some together for a connection in order for car to crank or start.
Thanks for any help

Hmmm I’d guess they can be eliminated, in interested as well since I’ll be installing a 1 wire alt and msd digital 6al into my coronet

Obviously the ammeter won't work anymore , I think this is a stand alone system, , just not sure if some wires need to be connected to make a full circuit or not??

Yes the alternator is internally regulated.

Just don't know if when I get to the start up point , if not having the above wiring connected, if the car will start?

It's a complete MSD system, box, coil, distributor, one wire internal regulated alternator.
