salt flat rims

hi mopar fans. doing research for new rims on my 70 rr. thats close to finish line. had to go with wildwood brakes. motor 383 is stroked to 500 hp. so we need stopping power also. I have not seen any rr with these rims(salt flats). any info or pics on this would be great. any feedback on looks ? heres a pic of one style in the new hotrod mag.

Not my cup of tea on a roadrunner, if it was mine I would go for a mag style wheel.

I have them on one of my cars and they look tough. Mine are American Racing and completely polished.

these ran on tommy grove's melrose missile 1 , the plymouth was bought to bonny saltflats in 62

. ran a pass at 165ish . couldn't back in up . chunked a rim . these are very rare american racing equipment rims in 18''dia , from the first days back in the late 50's or early 60's .
