I got a Sure grip from a seller on Ebay and paid for it on the 3rd of November. He was a little delayed on shipping it out due to family health problems. I think he shipped it out 3 days later. Anyhow he gave me a tracking number at that point. And apparently its delayed but in transit to my house.. Huh? Either it is in transit or its delayed. Not both. OHHH WAIT>> ITS IN A TRUCK CIRCLING THE POST OFFICE. The USPS site has this message and it has not changed since.

The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. The item is currently in transit to the destination as of November 17, 2017 at 9:14 am. It is on its way

The government is rattle proof, my friend. They can run in the red for decades and still get business; tax payer supported, of course. I'd say that's job security.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease, though. Keep calling.

I did the lost mail thing... got a stupid auto response email. I know the .gov world and how it works. Maybe I shouldn't have said rattle their chains, as much as I should have said RANTING.. :)

Those artards lost a motorcycle gas tank cover I bought for several days, they finally found it and delivered

I will not use UPS period had nothing but troubles with them :mob:

If it was coming from west coast, maybe it was on one of the almost 30 semis that have been blown over in Wyoming or northern Colorado in the past 5 days!

I had a delivery go that way once, a dumbass sent it back east somewhere, then they had to start all over , going thru the normal city to city delivery. finally got it. Have had good luck w/ them mostly.

Hopefully, it was packed well....At this time of the year and where it was coming from it was probably delayed....

bought a 53 GMC tail light for my trumpet digger from Canada made it all the way to Campaign ILL,bout n hr away in 4 days...disappeared ....reappeared in texas 3 days later...disappeared for 2 days reappeared in San Francisco....then made it to my home outside of peoria n 1 day no stops...they are a lost cause

Worse case, it busted through the packing and they had to reseal the box. It will get there at some point lol. I've had sellers box up stuff in crappy boxes and was amazed parts didn't just fall out.

This guy has the parcel...

Relax....you're in good hands.

The OP used the Postal Service, mate. It's USPS not UPS (United Parcel Service).
I read that but a lot people complain about the postal service and fed ex and among others but I have had of real good luck with fed ex and the postal service

I received that same EXACT message a month or two ago and I thought it had something to do with the weather/hurricanes at that time. My package did arrive safe and sound.

I have a carb that has been in the mail stuck in Atlanta for over five years. Hope there was insurance. I ask for UPS / brown for shipping on anything I care about getting.

When I was a kid, I used to hear about a place where all the undeliverables mail went to be stored forever--the called it "dead mail" back then.
