If money is no option, I would love to own a Quincy. But if money is an issue maybe a rebuild kit on your motor or a used replacement motor?

TP tools has a Quincy for $2799 down from $3599 with a three year free extended warranty kit. I have a 10% off coupon till end of month. Bought my blast cabinet from them, good people.

I worry that I may have to replace mine some day, it's 30 years old.

a lot of black friday sales going on all over ,watch out for old compressor tanks they like to blow up ,you can scope them but I would replace I've seen one that has blown up

5hp two stage 80 gal IR. Oil from pump is in the tank. Not good.
Time for a rebuild, I found the parts on line for less than $60.00 for everything. Mine started to do the same thing when I was getting ready for primer and paint. I had to clean the tank a few times to get the oil out and replaced the hoses too for insurance. They are pretty straight forward to rebuild though I did have to press out the bearings from the housing.

I bought it in 2010. Replaced the motor in Feb. Took several months to find a good motor (long story). Replaced the pressure switch in June. I was using it Friday, it came on then cycled off but sounded funny. Went to check it out. I could see the oil level in the sight glass. Took the cap off and saw that it was low. Never had to add oil before. Always changed it. Went to TSC to buy IR oil. Went to put the oil in this morning and the level was lower than last night. Added almost a whole quart the whole time thinking something was wrong. Went to drain the tank of any water. Only thing that came out was oil. Checked the oil level about a hour later and it was low again.

Replace the head assemble and well you are at it the relief with one that has ASME approved not unapproved China one
If concerned about tank hydro at 50% over operating pressure then you know you are safe
