At the moment I am using the stock windage tray in my 440. The engine is apart at this time.
Is there a better option ( Type of tray) Out there. just trying to make some small improvements

Thanks Tom C.

Isn’t that a copy of the stock tray?
There is the Milodon tray but I can’t say it is better. Truly better would be a crank scraper.

that tray is made of glass filled nylon and has gaskets already attached to it top and bottom, gaskets can be removed and washed and reused again.

That's what I have, easy to install under the car and no leaks.

I'm pondering replacing my stock tray with that setup.
I was hoping for some input first though. Looks like a brilliant idea

Not trying to hijack the thread, but is the OP's engine stroked? What are people using for stroked engines?

I have one of the summit windage trays for a 4.15 stroker. I had it on my 4.250 stroker for about 10 miles. Had a rearmain leak, and decided not to use it w/ my stud girdle. In excellent new shape if someone wants one. Also have a metal stroker tray out of an old hemi funny car pan . looks like a normal hemi tray except its for a stroker too. I am using that old funny car pan on my 440/505" wedge. Can save a guy a couple of bucks on the trays !

Have used the 4.15" stroke version of the nylon tray/gasket from Jegs. Not sure if it is "better" as far as windage is concerned, but it sealed up nice, no leaks.
I did enlarge the oil slots in the tray, and slightly re-shaped it to clear a 4.25" stroke crank and rods. The engine did not have a stud girdle, would easy clear 4.25" stroke on an engine using a stud girdle.

Has anyone tried the 4.15 on a B-engine with a 4.25 and 2.2 rods? I'd like to get it as close as possible? Maybe even the 3.75 glass tray with the 4.25 and 2.2 B-eng.

Not sure there is much (if any) difference in oil pan rail height from the B to RB engines?
The 440 above was the 440 source 4.25" stroke crank with 2.2" rod journals and the Jegs 4.15" stroker windage tray was very close to the rod bolt heads if not just touching in a few places. I did not want the bolt heads to rub and "clearance" the windage tray at RPM, so I heated the windage tray and slightly reformed it in those areas.

I’m using a stock Mopar Performance windage tray in my 470, stroke is 3.915 and clears everything by a 1/4 inch or better. Try a stock windage tray, see if it clears.

There was a post on here about Modifying the Stock Mopar windage tray. Does any one remember it , I can't seem to find it. I think it was a just a matter of drilling a few holes in the pan !!

Thanks Tom C,
