Have you considered just a quarter skin instead of the whole quarter?
When I look at all the welding along the panel I’m more comfortable with fitting the panel then I am with the mud work.

that is some nice custom work there on that quarter
i doubt you could get that just anywhere..
a AMD quarter should do the trick.
if the outer wheel house needs work patch it as the replacements are crap.

Yep,this is my first go round. Didn’t anticipate the amount of pull in by the tack welds. But I did just save some $$$ with skinning my hood so now I got a little $$ and the full 1/4 would be much straighter than that!! The tragic thing is this car has very little rust. But, I got full trunk pan that I could install as one piece if I open the can of worms!!!

I just had a 1/4 skin and outer wheelhouse installed on my 68 Plymouth. They are AMD and the body man said they went on and fit very well. I don't know why AMD is so well recommended---they are all made in China. Evidently there is more effort put in in the tooling and quality control...............................MO

Because it's not always just China junk. It also has to do with the investment that the company ordering the parts made in China is willing to put out.
If you can afford a full quarter, you should do it. I did the skins, and will now only do full quarters when available.
