New Summit superstore—-

So I stopped to get a giftcard for the youngest & grabbed a catalog. New store in Arlington!!!! My youngest worked at the original store and he always said their ‘master plan’ was out 5-10yrs in the future. Guess u guys in Tx are the next step, enjoy, the superstores have to be great.
 
We are lucky to be as close as we are to Summit. I'm about 5-10 minutes away. I remember the old store as a kid before the huge expansion and my dad remembers when Summit was basically ran out of a garage. Good for them on being as successful as they are...

If I remember right they were in an industrial park of couple thousand sg. Foot store off Gilchrest Rd. The rest is history!
 
Tough to beat them especially with free shipping on orders over $100
 
Coolness! I actually hope they never open one in California, they ship my stuff from Reno and I get it next day without the sales tax...

I pass it every day on the way to work but beanhead nailed it... now that there here we have to pay the sales tax.
 
I love Summit. They’re my first go to when I need something. If they don’t have what I need I go on from there. In contrast I hat the evil empire - Year One......
 
Yes! Keep your stores. Tax free two day shipping is good by me. No store needed.

After getting a total from Summit, I cancelled my order and promptly called Jeg's.
 
If your military or a Vet, Summit and Jegs offer a discount.

Love the staff and the store.....I go there mainly for 100 leaded octane...and to chat with a couple folks there...Has that home town performance parts store feel...

Summit is here but the sales tax blows...

A couple of things I noticed between Jegs and Summit is that Jegs has free shipping on tires, whereas Summit adds a shipping charge. And with Jegs, they have an online price match, so if you find a lower price, add the URL and the lower price and head to the checkout.
 
I definitely miss the days of yore when we had SuperShops, Competition Sales and could just walk in and find just about anything you needed...
Was really hoping that Summit outlet would be closer to me but... I typically order through Kegs anyway..
Their customer service has always been outstanding even when I needed some friendly advice on an item even when I did not purchase it through them.
 
I'm about 20 moles from the Reno store. It's kinda neat to go in and rubber neck at all the floor stuff. Like any parts store, if you walk in with part ##'s in hand that you need/want makes life tons easier! Just sayin.

They've went above and beyond when they didn't have to so many times that I don't even go anywhere else now. Helps that it's only an hour drive for me too but in the end it's the customer service and quick shipping that makes them shine.
