Just stumbled across this TorqStorm supercharger product on my FB Mopar group..
Looked at their web site, read a few product reviews... very intrigued.
Does any one have one of these on their Mopar or know any one who does?
If not..
Here is the link , please check it out.. let me know your thoughts... Reviews claim +120 - 150hp at 6-8 psi... and it can be turned up.
A reasonable priced supercharger for the Mopar dad on a budget would be fantastic..

I am having my 383 rebuilt in Feb and trying to decide whether to just put a Thumper Cam in it and call it gravy or to have the motor built to handle a supercharger and spend a few extra $$.

With that lower pulley, you'll have to run a single core radiator.

Looks like the fan would have to be spaced forward also.

The head units are too small for the applications they are being sold for. If you have a big block or decent flowing heads they just aren't efficient enough. They only flow about 1100 CFM where a Procharger P1SC flows about 1250... and a P1 is considered too small for a big block.

Their claim of 6-8 psi is B.S.a lot of guys that have purchased are only getting 2-3 psi and talking about machining other pulleys but these little head units are maxed out and just going to over spin. This is why if you look at their site and Sema they are doing several twin supercharger setups because that's the only way they can put down a half add respectable number.

Well that does it, radiator will have to be eliminated.

It just struck me; of course the radiator will have to be eliminated because the water pump pulley's been eliminated, along with the alternator and power steering because there's no place to put the alternator or pulleys for either.

this is interesting info. anybody here old enough to remember the 300f that andy granatelli ran with two centrifugal blowers on a long ram engine?

The aggravating part of this to me is that with each blower there is parasitic loss... so why spend the money to run 2 and worry about all the extra clearance, plumbing etc... when you could run one procharger unit that's more efficient than the 2 combined and will rob less hp to run.... twins look cool but that's where it ends

With all that said Torqstorm is American made and backed by a lifetime warranty so if they come to the table eventually with an impressive head unit for reasonable money then they would be a contender

back when granatelli done this (1960) there wasn't any large centrifugal blowers. the ones available were only good for something like 300cuin engines and he was part owner or affliated in some way with Paxton. car ran 176mph in the sand at Daytona, 190 at Bonneville. a big feat for 1960-1961.

On 300ci I'm sure they could just ram the boost through both superchargers to ba capable of doing what they did. An impressive feat for the time for sure.

Where I get hung up with Torqstorm is the marketing these systems to big block cars... If you called Procharger and told them you were boosting a big block they would never recommend the P1.. It's no efficient enough! So marketing a less capable head unit to big blocks to me is borderline irresponsible and why you have guys only making 2-3 lbs of boost and wondering why they aren't meeting the manufacturers claim.

Granitelli went back to bonneville in 62 with another 300 (1962) and ran just over 200 mph. extremely fast for a 4000+lbs full size chrysler!! with all the areodynamics of a concrete block!! Dave.

i thought I read somewhere that those cars were around 5000lbs; weight added to keep them on the ground.

413's with twin paxtons on 2x4's.

Superchargers will not qualify for warranty if the supercharger pulley or impeller has been removed or changed, or if the pulley or impeller warranty seal has been broken or tampered with and/or if the kit parts have been altered or improperly installed.

From the TorqStorm website......
Sort of sucks that you can't do a simple pulley swap on your own without voiding the warranty .......
