Ok,
No nightmares but a lot of what the ---- to do.
1966 Dodge Charger, I am going to put disc brakes up front.
Did the Mopar Action disc brake swap on my 69 Charger, great, easy.
No donor spindles in my area, E Bay ect, are crazy prices with no guarantee they are what they say they are ect ect.
So, aftermarket spindles, what is the quality ?
My nightmares are my restored 66 mashed all to ---- because of a broken spindle ?
Warrented concern, or are the quality issues been resolved ?
Thanks

I installed "The Right Stuff" disc brake conversion on my 70 Road Runner. My spindles were part of a recall, and I received new ones prior to my trip across country in September 2015. I drove the car 5800 miles across country in some hard driving, and have continued to drive the car less than 1000 miles per year after that. I have had no issues and the system works great. Their web site is https://www.getdiscbrakes.com/

Note: I have no financial interest in the company, and I am sure there are other companies as well that can provide spindles. I am just offering you my experience.

Good Luck,

Hawk

I have the Dr Diff kit which is similar to right stuff. Currently 600 miles on the conversion and no issues.

DoctorDiff sells most everything you need for the Mopar Action swap. Give him a call and see what he says. He has been selling the reproduction knuckles for years and I don't think he has had any issues with them.

yep, give Cass at DrDiff a call they will fix you up and if you run into any problems he is there with the anwsers

The Mopar Action swap is expensive now, caliper brackets $$. Have seen a couple of sets in 4 sale ads on this site for reasonable price $150. Dr Diff I think has them but $300.

Caliper brackets from Doctor Diff are $90 a pair. http://www.doctordiff.com/disc-brake-slider-caliper-mounts-backets-for-11-3-4-rotor-upgrade.html

Knuckles are $150 a pair which seems reasonable to me. If you do the Mopar Action swap with all new parts it will probably cost $500 or $600 which seems fair. Cost goes up if you change all of the ball joints and tie rod ends and stuff like that at the same time but seems like a good time to do it unless everything is brand new. Probably cost $1000 in parts and takes most of a weekend to do the job. (assumes you have a service manual and the right tools...........)

Finally got off the crapper and went with The Ram Man and his calipers and brackets.
Thanks for all the input.

You must not have done much homework if you went with the Ram Man!
