I just installed a new turn signal switch. Everything is working except it is not cancelling off when I turn. Kind of annoying to turn off after every turn. Looking for some help on this, the install was very simple but maybe I overlooked something or did something wrong.

Are you certain that the metal peg is between the 2 plastic canceling pieces?

The metal peg? Do you mean the peg on the back of the steering wheel, if so then Yes.

Yep, that is what I was referring to. I have had to file the sharp edges of the plastic before to get them to work easier. None of the reproduction turn signal switches seem to be of very good quality nowadays.

I just took it all apart and it seems as the steering wheel peg is not even going deep enough. I tried tightening down my steering wheel as much as I could but it still is not working. Hmmm....

Was it canceling before you installed the new one?

I know you already purchased a switch but I want all the members to know that one of FABO's members, slant6dan, who also is on here now and then, sells great new turn signal switches. If you're in the market he's your guy...

I just need to find out a way to
Exstend the tab on the steering wheel. The steering wheel in my car is not the original and I don’t even know what car it came from. Plus it’s all cracked too, I plan on replacing it down the road. Maybe weld on a small tab?

Some turn signal switches can be adjusted in closer so the tab on the wheel will do its jo and cancel after turn if you have the wheel off and looking at the column you will see the tab tjen just make your adjustment from there
