Well folks, I am officially registered for the Chrysler show 7/13/18 - 7/15/18!
I know it's early - You can save a few bucks until midnight tonight - $44 for the weekend in the fun field.
I will be bringing my '68 Road Runner for the first time, so I am both nervous and excited!
Recent years I have been bringing my '75 Scamp.
I sincerely hope to meet you guys who come to the show!

Hoping to have the 64 painted by then. Have reserved 2 spots in the vendor/car corral right near the covered pavilion.

I will be in p206 hopefully with my painted dart and a trailer full of sun testers and distributors, stop by for a beer!

Thanks RReh!!
Got entered before the buzzer
See y'all in the summer,

that sounds good being its -2 degrees now.

Pops and I have been going for the last 7-8 years...we just come as spectators but we're already looking forward to 2018!

Any ideas on a good hotel to stay hopefully close buy where a car can be parked safe as well
Thanks
Pete

The past several years, I stay at the Comfort Inn, Mechanicsburg, PA. Its a nice a nice 15-20 minutes straight shot to Carlisle through countryside.

Hotel booked and ready can't wait . It's a 7 hour drive that will be a blast ..

Yes, that rite there is the truth! Shows and events are cool n all, but gettin there and back in the HotRod is really all the fun 4sure. Hope to look you up. My son has been going with me since his stroller.............he's gonna be 19 in Feb. He loves Mopars:D

I don't do hotels, but stay at Western Village Campground. Typically leave the RR home towing 5th wheel, entering my truck in the show. It gets me in for the whole weekend, and free parking haha.
Lots to see and do, and hope you don't tire easily.
This thread or others about Carlisle will get active about a month before the show.

Got my room and pre regi for 44 as well. I actually going to bring my amx as it has a 5 speed, highway gears and ac which in july is nice. Had planned on cuda and still may. I went last year for a day and was blown away by swap meet and only part of the car show I was able to see. Should be a great time this year

Do you guys have any tips or info for a newbie? This is our first trip out and we will be selling random car and truck parts, possibly a duster as well, but are completely unfamiliar with the area. We have our venders booths rented and a house about 30 minutes away rented as well. Is it safe to leave the booth set up and alone at night? And how hard is it to get your vehicle in every morning? Thanks ahead for any info!

Never miss it but the Bee suffered some damage last year on the way there. Think I’ll just take the Harley this year.

From what I've seen most just cover their parts in the evening but I'm sure others will chime in. If you have something of significant value I'd suggest figuring out how to secure the parts.

As far as gate access and ease of getting in I've never experienced a problem. It's a well run operation.

As others have said if you bring a "pop up canopy" for sun and rain protection make sure you have a means to anchor it (the wind occasionally like to make them a kite).

I've been going up for the past several years and as I said it's a well run, organized show/swap meet. Lot's of stuff...and good people.

I have had my same 7 spaces in the vendor area since 2003. I've heard a lot of stories, but I think they are just stories. Access early in the morning no problem.
Best to keep your parts out of site and out of the minds of lookie loos when you leave.
Security cruises around all night. I know this for a fact because I stay at my spaces at night.
