On a 67 Auto Console, what type of hardware is the forward most attachment? Some sort of clip or something? Mines missing it, and I cant figure out what to use. See attached. Anybody know what it is or have a picture of it or anything? Thanks!!

Those are the clips that hold the chrome strip on, but I believe this may be different. The diagram shows it as a two part thing. It would be behind the carpet after it is glued on, so it definetaly is some kind of blind clip, so those trim clips may just work.

I've always seen them attached with a screw.

That part that says clip bolts to under front of console is bent down. It goes under front part of plastic console frame to hold front down. You could make one probably or a part wanted ad. Back is held down by two screws under console door.

It does sorta look like it could be a screw with a cup washer, now that I look at it more.

Fran: your referring to the top plate. I’m looking at the side of the plastic console, where it attaches to the bracket welded to the tunnel.

Yea think there's one ( not sure) lower front driver's side. Been 10 years or so since removing console to do the heater core.
