Want to do disc brake conversion on my 69 satty which one is the best
for the money plus to install??
 
I went with Dr Diff. If you have non power the 15/16 master cylinder works well.
 
I had install quotes for $1500, but only if everything was plug and play. Probably 2 grand is a realistic number not including your kit.
Tackle this yourself.
 
I used SSBC ordered through summit. Went with the manual brake set up. Easy to install and stops much better than the drums.
 
I got SSBS on my road runner - but I can only advise you to get it all as a kit. The ones on my car is built by previous owner and he put it together from what he had at his shop. Not recommended. I also like the Wilwood parking brake setup better than the SSBS ones.
 
We will need to know more info to give you a better idea:

Are looking for a front , rear, or both ?
Do you want power or manual brakes?
What size wheels will you be running?

was looking at manual brakes for front and yes I want the whole kit
I don't want to keep having to buy more parts.
 
What size rims? 14's 15's ?
 
Whichever kit you decide on just make sure you find out what model and make the parts are patterned after... You want something that you can easily find replacement pads and parts for

I got mine from the Ramman aka Wayne. Fitted the big Cordoba rotars up front with pin style calipers and his home grown brackets. All Mopar parts and works well.
 
I used the SSBC kit front and rear with power brakes. Absolutely the best thing I have ever done to my Charger. the Brakes fit even with my 14" wheels
 
B body may be different but I used a 73 New Yorker set on my 68 Polara 2 door C body non power drum brake car
I have a vac booster but have never needed to install it-- stock master cylinder but may have added or removed a check valve
I put smaller wheel cylinders in the rear to balance the braking (fronts will lock first on ice so you have to pump- user anti-lock brakes
brake effort is more than a power brake car but not excessive plus it is linear
15 inch cop car steel wheels stock 14s will not clear
1.080 torsion bars up front max to 73 was .92 you have to find a PC or HD Station wagon
upgraded leafs with plastic interliners in the back Rear Cordoba sway
handles like a sports car :)

One of the biggest questions, at least to me, is if you want to retain your stock spindles or feel comfortable swapping those out as well. Most kits require spindle swapping but there are some that do not.

I have a 65 satellite, I went with a stock newer B-Body set up and I took care of a little surface rust. I’m very happy with the results.
