I have a set of new 235R60 15” tires i’d Like to put on my ‘66 Charger. What I’d like to know is the rims I’ll need. 15x what? I am getting no joy from numerous Internet searches.
Thanks!

I always use Summit for info. If you look up a certain tire size it will show the minimum and maximum rim width. I think Mickey Thompson also has a similar tool.

15"X 7" I think 8" would be OK but they might look stretched which is not cool on a 66 Charger.
They look better draped in rubber!

Thanks to all. I now have a handle on my search. Comoing attractions will be OEM brakes to power disk in front. No more praying to stop.

Back space is very important on 66/67 b-bodies, 4.5"?

15x8 is going to be the widest for a 235. On the rear you should be good with any tire as long as the overall dimensions are under 27 tall x 11.25 wide (235/60 should be around 25.5x9). The 15x8 on the rear will allow you to go wider on the rear if you decide to get a better stance down the line. 15x8 will work on the front as well but you could also go with a 15x7 if you want the staggered look. Here is what I am running on my 67 Coronet at this time with tire dimension since my wheels are larger diameter. With these dimensions and backspace I have no rubbing rear or front. The rear is tight but you have higher fender wells so more room than the Coronets. The 4.5 backspace on a 15 would be good on the rear as well assuming factory differential dimensions.

25.4 x 9.3 in in front 17X8 5X4.5 4.50 BS 23545r17
25.7 x 10.8 in rear 17X9 5X4.5 5.25 BS 27540R17

This is the only one i have on my PC. Ther is another one on my build thread but the car is on stands so you cant really get an idea of stance.
