A real barn find in a real barn

Heres what I bought this morning. This car has been on my radar for 37 years.. I inquired about it in 1981 the lady bought it new in 1968 . She said then that she would never sell it . I thought they sold because it had disappeared. So my Uncle and I stopped this morning just see and low and behold it was in the garage I talked to her husband he said it could be bought so I did just that... 1968 383 4 speed 84000 miles all numbers matching...

It looks like another car with a color interior, but black carpets. My understanding is that was how they built the 4 speed cars that did not have a console. You got black carpets.
Is it still wearing it's factory paint? A great find either way....

What is the paint code on the fender tag? In the pictures, the color is hard to tell. I'm guessing maybe LL1 or QQ1 ?

Holy crap, what a beauty! Congratulations! In a way, it's probably good you didn't get it 34 years ago - you'd probably have beaten it to death (I know I would have when I was 22).
Now it's even more special, and it'll be babied and taken care of. Post lots of pictures when it warms up and you get to wash it! Awesome!
